My second trip in a week. :)

Trip to Goriška Brda

So I moved my lazy ass and decided it is time to put all of this together :) I divided this post in a few sections so it is easier to explain and add pictures I took :)

The trip to Goriška Brda was actually with blind or partially sighted people and their escorts (29). The bus drive took us around two hours, maybe a bit less. We mainly rode the highway only towards the end we went through ups and downs and lefts and rights :) The little map of our chicken country shows our way from the circle (or somewhere around there) to the red mark which is municipality Goriška Brda, known for best cherries and wine which is world-wide known. Many small villages which already remind you of jadranic style but still mix of more inlandic style. The long roads of fields, grass fields, many many vineyards, each village having a church etc.

When nature strikes

The past few weeks nature gave us many sunshines and warm themperatures, it really felt like spring has come, even early summer-like feelings... The nature was waking up, all blooming... We were walking around with short sleeves, preparing garden for the vegetables etc.

Then yesterday it struck... Rain was falling, slowly turning to frozen rain (saw it pile up on neighboor's garage) then snow, really a lot of it falling down for hours... 

It suddenly got colder by 10 degrees or more... I wasn't paying much attention to it, thinking ah it won't be much... Then today I woke up to this...

The difference is visible right... Since am home alone (mom went out for the day), I took Max out for his toilet needs and kept watching this scene... The flowers sticking their pretty blooms out of the snow... the blooms on trees are watery, look like someone drained energy out of them, fearing how the apples will be able to grow now... The neighbor's elderberry, blooming plum and hazel trees all bent to our side really low, some are broken and will need to be cut a bit... I helped them by gently cleaning some snow off of them... I cleaned snow from protective fabric we have placed over blueberries that were already blooming... some of the blooms were on the floor... blooming strawberries were covered in 10-15cm snow... When I cleared snow from the currants I saw it was already making little balls... I can't see asparagus that was courageously pushing his way out of the earth... 

It saddens me a bit... Nature's surprises...

3 days trip to Croatia

I won't write my whole trip in words. Will take too long so take your time and watch this through :D
We stayed in Rovinj in hotel but were very little there, were outside a lot since the weather was really great, warm, bit windy but sunny! We also visited beaches, church of saint Eufenija with her sarcophagus, old part of Rovinj, old quarry which isn't used anymore but nice sight even more so when you see climbers train there :) We also ate really delicious food. On last day we left Rovinj early and went towards Lim fjord with sea water reaching inside the forest through a canal, lovely. We also stopped in Motovun which is famous for film festival and also found out about the legend about giant/s protecting the city :D Lovely all in all :D And while driving around I really had this Supernatural feeling :D Why? Because roads were practically empty and we had loud rock music on (it was group Rainbow from 80ies) :D Like two brothers there, here we were two sisters :D Only demons were missing haha

Overall it was really fun! :D

Birthday trip to the sea

I think this was my earliest visit to the sea. Usually first was around first May but few weeks ago I got the urge to see the sea for my birthday :D We heard the weather will be really great and so we went yesterday (a day before birthday but still counts) XD

Indeed the weather was totally amazing. Walking on sun felt like it was summer already, the sun was shining all the time so brightly <3 Only in the shade was slightly cold or even really cold if you sat in place for a while :) 

We more or less walked around, the kiddo me wanted to look for sea shells and we took many photos so we really had slow pace and often walked on rocks instead on the road :D We had only 3 stops: coffee, lunch, another drink. Below is somehow shown our road :D

Busy Thursday

So yesterday was indeed busy day, more than I expected it to be. After my first bad mood a day before about how I have no ine to spend free time with and getting some encouragement from online friends, my mood got better :D Might have had small outbreak because was damn sensible to everything and tears kept flowing but oh well I overcame it :D 

So the busy day yesterday started at vollunteer "work" already.
I had these boxes that cary audio books and had to put such author and title tapes on it + the tape over it.
Looks good right?
Well I had 130 of them... I thought I wouldn't finish it all yesterday but I was determined to do so and I also made it hihi
My neck was bit painful after it but is managable :D
No big deal ^^

For the free time later (around four afternoon) I managed to meet with a friend (usually meet her in capital). We went to tea house, enjoyed our tea and chatted about this and that. After it we went to bookstore to browse through the books a little and it's fun as the biggest bookstore in my country has also mangas :D Is like completely different world to me :D It isn't many here but at least these and way better than it was just few years ago :D 

Walks through capital Ljubljana

Yesterday I walked a lot through the capital. First in the morning and later in the afternoon as well before going home :D Let me show you some pictures I took :D

My morning walk is very often through the old part of the town most of the time by the river Ljubljanica, pass the Tromostovje (three bridges sqare), pass our greatest poet Mr. France Prešeren's statue with his muse towards the Dragon bridge guarded by two dragons on each side of the bridge (4 in total) then through small alleys which I didn't take pictures of :D So here is the sight, I really like the morning pictures because the lights and not yet fully risen sun give a little bit of mystical feeling :D
